Introduction
Kingdom Pieces Publishing Ltd (“KP Publishing”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to ensuring you are satisfied with every purchase you make through our website at www.kppublish.co.uk (the “Website”). This Refund Policy outlines your rights and our procedures regarding refunds, returns, exchanges, and cancellations for products and services purchased from us.
This policy is in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Nothing in this policy affects or limits those rights.

Your Statutory Rights
As a consumer in the United Kingdom, you have certain legal rights that cannot be excluded or limited by this policy. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, all products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for a particular purpose where one has been made known to us, and as described on our Website.
If any product you receive is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to a full refund, repair, or replacement regardless of the timeframes set out in this policy. These statutory rights apply from the date of delivery and, in most cases, extend for up to six years from the date of purchase.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you also have a 14-day cooling-off period for most online purchases, during which you may cancel your order for any reason. Further details are provided in the sections below.
Physical Books and Products
If you have purchased a physical book or other tangible product from our Website, you have 14 days from the date you receive the item to notify us that you wish to return it. This is your statutory cooling-off period and applies whether or not the product is faulty.
To be eligible for a return within the cooling-off period, the item must be in its original, unused condition, any shrink-wrap, protective packaging, or seals must be intact, and the item must be returned with any accompanying materials, inserts, or accessories.
Once you have notified us of your wish to return the item, you have a further 14 days to send the product back to us. Upon receipt and inspection of the returned item, we will process your refund within 14 days.
If you simply change your mind about a purchase and the item is returned in its original condition within the cooling-off period, we will issue a full refund of the purchase price. The original delivery costs will be refunded at the standard delivery rate, even if you selected a faster or premium delivery option at the time of purchase.
Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
If you receive a product that is faulty, damaged during transit, or different from what you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible at contact@kppublish.co.uk. We ask that you include your order number, a description of the issue, and photographs of the damage or defect where possible.
For faulty, damaged, or incorrect items, we will offer you the choice of a full refund including any delivery charges you paid, a replacement item dispatched at no additional cost to you, or a repair where appropriate and where you agree to this option.
We will cover all reasonable return postage costs for faulty, damaged, or incorrect items. We may provide a prepaid returns label or reimburse your return postage upon receipt of a valid proof of postage.
There is no time limit on returning faulty goods within your statutory rights, although we ask that you contact us as soon as you become aware of the fault to allow us to resolve the matter promptly.
Digital Products and E-Books
Due to the nature of digital products, including e-books, downloadable content, and digital resources, these items are generally non-refundable once the download has been initiated or access has been granted. By purchasing a digital product and accessing or downloading it, you acknowledge that the cooling-off period no longer applies once delivery of the digital content has begun.
Before completing your purchase of a digital product, you will be asked to consent to the immediate delivery of the digital content and to acknowledge that doing so means you lose your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
However, if the digital product you have purchased is faulty, corrupted, or materially different from its description, you are entitled to a full refund. Please contact us at contact@kppublish.co.uk with details of the issue, and we will investigate and resolve it promptly.
Educational Content, Courses, and Workshops
For educational courses, online workshops, and training materials purchased through the Website, the following refund terms apply:
Before the course begins: If you cancel your enrolment more than 14 days before the course start date or the date access is granted, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel within 14 days of the start date, you will receive a refund minus a 15% administration fee to cover costs already incurred in preparing your enrolment.
After the course begins: Once a course has commenced or access to course materials has been granted, refunds are generally not available. If you experience technical issues that prevent you from accessing the course content, please contact us and we will work to resolve the issue or offer an alternative solution.
Live events and workshops: Bookings for live events, in-person workshops, and community gatherings are non-refundable within 7 days of the event date. Cancellations made more than 7 days before the event will receive a full refund. We may, at our discretion, offer to transfer your booking to a future event where one is available.
Publishing Services
If you have engaged our publishing services under a Publishing Package or Author Agreement, the refund and cancellation terms specific to those services will be set out in your individual Author Agreement or Publishing Contract.
As a general guide, if you cancel before any work has commenced on your manuscript, you will receive a full refund of any fees paid, minus any non-recoverable costs already incurred such as ISBN registration. Once work has commenced on your manuscript (including but not limited to editing, proofreading, design, or layout), refunds will be calculated on a pro-rata basis reflecting the work completed up to the date of cancellation. If your manuscript has progressed to the printing or distribution stage, a full refund is no longer available, as significant costs will have been incurred on your behalf.
In all cases, the specific terms of your signed Author Agreement will take precedence over this general refund policy in relation to publishing services.
Subscriptions and Recurring Payments
If you subscribe to any of our recurring services, memberships, or content plans, you may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the service until the end of your current billing period. No further payments will be taken after cancellation.
Refunds for the current billing period are generally not available unless the service was materially unavailable or not as described during that period. If you cancel within 14 days of your initial subscription purchase and have not accessed or used the subscription content, you may request a full refund under the cooling-off period.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund or initiate a return, please contact us using one of the following methods:
Email: contact@kppublish.co.uk
Website: www.kppublish.co.uk
When contacting us, please provide your full name and the email address associated with your order, your order number or transaction reference, a description of the product or service and the reason for your refund request, and for physical products, confirmation of whether the item has been opened or used.
We will acknowledge your refund request within 3 working days and aim to resolve all refund requests within 14 days of receiving the returned item or, for digital products and services, within 14 days of approving the refund.
How Refunds Are Processed
All refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. Please allow the following processing times after we have approved your refund:
Credit and debit cards: Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5 to 10 working days, depending on your card issuer.
PayPal: Refunds are usually processed within 3 to 5 working days.
Bank transfer: Where the original payment was made by bank transfer, refunds will be issued to the same bank account within 5 to 10 working days.
If you have not received your refund within the timeframes above, please check with your bank or payment provider first, as processing times can vary. If you still have not received your refund, please contact us and we will investigate the matter.
Return Postage Costs
For change-of-mind returns within the 14-day cooling-off period, you are responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. We recommend using a tracked delivery service, as we cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.
For faulty, damaged, or incorrect items, we will cover the return postage costs. Please contact us before returning the item so that we can arrange a prepaid returns label or advise you on the most cost-effective return method.
If you received free delivery on your original order and you are returning the entire order under the cooling-off period, we may deduct the standard delivery cost from your refund, as the delivery service was provided and utilised.
Exchanges
If you would prefer to exchange an item rather than receive a refund, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your request, subject to availability. For exchanges, the original item must be returned in its original, unused condition. We will dispatch the replacement item once we have received and inspected the returned product.
If the replacement item is of a higher value, you will be asked to pay the difference. If it is of a lower value, we will refund the difference to your original payment method.
Exceptions and Non-Refundable Items
The following items and services are generally non-refundable, except where they are faulty or not as described:
Digital products and e-books once downloaded or accessed. Gift cards and vouchers, except where required by law. Personalised or custom-made products that have been produced to your specific requirements. Services that have been fully performed with your prior consent and acknowledgement that the cooling-off period would no longer apply. Items that have been used, damaged by the customer, or returned without their original packaging.
These exceptions do not affect your statutory rights. If any non-refundable item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you remain entitled to a remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Late or Missing Deliveries
If your order has not arrived within the estimated delivery timeframe, please contact us and we will investigate with our delivery partners. If we are unable to locate your order or confirm delivery, we will offer you the choice of a full refund or a replacement order dispatched at no additional cost.
For orders that show as delivered but that you have not received, we may need to conduct an investigation with the delivery provider before issuing a refund or replacement. This process typically takes up to 10 working days.
Changes to This Refund Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. The policy that was in effect at the time of your purchase will apply to that transaction.
We encourage you to review this policy before making a purchase so that you are aware of the current terms.
